I write dark fantasy with a focus on wonder, suspense, monsters, mystery, and consequences. I like to weave the things that make me think into my stories, be they worldviews, cultural changes, theology, or just something that makes me laugh.
My first book was a short story collection called Wrath and Ruin, published in 2016. In 2019, my first novel, Whispers From The Depths, will be published by Uncommon Universes Press. That means I finally get to call myself a novelist, which feels rather surreal. |
It's been said that authors should write what they read, but the reverse is also true for me. I read what I try to write. I love stories that make me laugh, that make my imagination sizzle, that leave me in awe of a terrifying monster, and that make me cringe or sit on the edge of my seat.
Outside of writing, I've worked as a systems engineer on jets, helicopters, and trains. I live in Upstate New York with my wife, kids, and my corgi pack. |
